No doubt the engine's improvements will help, and I'm pretty sure the new features will prove worthwhile, but I can't help feel that Med 2 may miss out on some of the Total War magic simply because of the vast variety of things that were possible in Medieval 1 (and the massive expansion packs that could be ordered up alongside it).
A few other niggles are standard Total War fare, such as the occasional complaint about fat-fingered turns that can be problematic in bigger games. A few new features have been introduced, most notably the ability to direct specific troops to specific enemies, as well as a handy, but thankfully infrequent, handy alert when one of your units gets into trouble. The most worrying thing about the game though is that each new unit type or technological advance (like cannons) will get you a new Civilisation. I haven't had a chance to properly play the Medieval 2: Total War Kingdoms expansion pack yet, but I gather that one Civilisation represents a country. That's a fairly big ask of most players, who'll already have an assortment of Great and Small Kingdoms or other national units they've built up, many of them with the same specific units and tech tree. Med 2's latest iteration of the Total War engine is already in its third major iteration, and in my limited testing it didn't seem like it was capable of supporting far more than one country at a time, which makes the idea of needing to relearn the army-building skills for a brand new country all the more vexing. I guess that if there was ever a chance to try something completely new with the engine, with no legacy to hold you back, it would be this situation.
The Apple USB Trackpad is a multi-touchpad that works with all major OSes. This driver includes a generic component that maps all buttons to those of the Apple USB trackpad, as well as a generic driver for the multi-touch features.
If another hacker does this, then they will be able to put any game on the ps3 in a matter of minutes! and that means that Sony will be out of the console market for good. We have seen what happens when sony doesn't support games anymore. Nintendo is turning a profit, now it is time for Sony to do the same, or else they are dead.
I don't see the appeal of owning a Sony PS3, and I don't see the value of the PS3 as an entertainment device. Sony has become one of the most untrustworthy companies in the gaming industry in my eyes. 827ec27edc
